❤ Giving back ❤
Each year, we choose a project which we support with donating funds raised from our ticket sales and sponsors. Please contact us if you would like to make a contribution as private person or become a sponsor.
Embracing the World is a global network of regional humanitarian organizations inspired by the India-based humanitarian initiatives of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Embracing the World exists to help alleviate the burden of the world’s poor through helping to meet each of their five basic needs — food, shelter, healthcare, education, and livelihood — wherever and whenever possible. They are especially focused on helping to meet these needs in the aftermath of major disasters.
Augmenting these efforts, Embracing the world works in the fields of environmental conservation and sustainability to help protect the future of our fragile planet.
Vision and Mission
Africa Yoga Project Educates, Empowers, Elevates and Expands Employability with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga. Our vision is to create opportunities for youth to step into their greatness and become self-sustaining leaders in their communities.
Who we are
AYP was created in 2007 to train youth and to build the wellness industry so that previously disenfranchised adolescents from marginalized communities can earn a self-sustaining income as community leaders. In turn, it enables them to build healthy, wellness-promoting communities. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, AYP serves diverse, marginalized, and vulnerable communities.
Currently we are more than 200 trained yoga instructors both give back to their communities by providing free yoga classes to over 6,000 people in a single week in Nairobi, and earn a living teaching classes at our yoga studio, the Shine Center, and at other studios, companies, gyms and homes across Kenya.
What we do
We connect those who want to make a difference by sharing their skills and strengths to those who can benefit from that teaching. The exchange is usually mutual and contributes equally to all. Individuals are empowered, relationships are forged, communities are healed both emotionally and physically, and new possibilities are seen and made real.

"We are
happy to announce this years "Kula-benefit-support-proj
I met one of the nuns living there - Namgyäl Chökyi at a meditation and she has this huge heart, all-embracing wisdom and likes to support everyone with her hands, words and sometimes just a
gaze...
The Nuns are not allowed to earn money, which sometimes is not the easiest if you life in Germany, where life is not the most cheapest one. We are happy to support
them with our Kula-donation to make it easier building their homes. Thank you all for contributing through your attendance @ the Kula Celebration 2016!!"
